Access & Information


As the booming capital of western France, Nantes is an inviting, eco-friendly medium-sized city, often rated among the best cities in Europe for its quality of life. Nantes is easily accessible by plane (international airport with direct flights to major European cities) or by train (2 hours from Paris, 23 round trips per day). The conference venue, La Cité Nantes Congress Center, is located in the heart of the city, at the confluence of the Loire and Erdre rivers, close to many cultural and historical attractions as well as a dynamic restaurant scene. Nantes, European green capital in 2013, is also very close to charming and authentic areas, such as the Muscadet and Loire Valley vineyards or the sandy beaches of South Brittany.


La Cité is easy to access by plane, train or car.

Nantes International Convention Centre is the foremost convention centre in Western France. Next to the Loire, it is ideally located in the earth of the city, at a walking distance of the train station, the Castle and most of the hotels. You’ll be seduced by its elegant architecture and its modern equipment which create a great work environment.

How to reach la Cité des Congrès

From the train station - 10 min by walk

Follow the South exit signs “Gare Sud”, go to the right towards the canal Saint Félix and follow the canal by the Malakoff dock

From the airport – 20 min by shuttle bus

Take the shuttle bus “La Navette” in Hall 2 of the airport. The shuttle is direct to the city center.
Stop: Lieu Unique – Cité des Congrès (2nd stop).
Every 20 min from Monday to Friday / every 30 min during week-end.
One way ticket: 9€

line 1 – « Duchesse Anne – Château des Ducs de Bretagne » station, just one stop from the TGV train station (north exit)

A 450-space multi-storey car park at La Cité plus 2,000 spaces in nearby carparks. For exhibitors: temporary drop-off area with direct access to La Cité’s exhibition spaces.

The weather in Nantes in June is usually mild with daily temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C. Night temperatures are usually mild.

Electricity used in France is 220 Volts; its frequency is 50 Hz and the plugs have two male contact points. Plan to bring a transformer for your electrical or electronic equipment using different voltage.
